PUNNATHUR KOTTA

The Guruvayur Devaswom has Elephant sanctuary, the only one of its kind in the World which is 3 Km north of Guruvayur Temple. This is known as Punnathur Kotta . It has more than 60 elephants. These elephants are the offerings of the devotees to the Lord. This is an attraction for all the pilgrims

CHAVAKKAD BEACH

The beach is situated 5 Kilometers from Guruvayoor Temple Sri Krishna Temple. Chavakkad Beach is filled with natural beauty. It is the place where the sea confluences with a river. This meeting of the sea with the river is known as Azhimokam in Kerela. Chavakkad beach is perfect for weekend tour.

CHETUVA BACK WATER

Chettuva Backwater is located in between Engandiyur Panchayat and Kadappuram Panchayat of Thrissur District in Kerala. The backwaters start at Enamakkal Lake and empties to Arabian Sea Chetuva situated 9 Km from Guruvayur. Major attractions are House boat cruise, Rajah Island

PALAYUR CHURCH

St. Thomas the Apostle of Christ landed in 52 A.D. at Kodungallur, the first century west coast harbor of Kerala and went on to establish seven churches for the faithful he evangelized in kerala. Only one of the seven churches could claim continuous existence in the same location from the time of the Apostle. The church at Palayur is unique in that the present church has a continuous history of two millennia and stands on the same spot where the Apostle first established it. The first church founded by St. Thomas continued to exist for many centuries.
